Accept: to give admittance or approval to; to endure without protest or reaction; to regard as proper, normal, or inevitable
Per Webster dictionary, the above are just a few definitions to what it means to “accept”. Acceptance; therefore, is the quality or state of being accepted or acceptable; the act of accepting something or someone; the fact of being accepted; approval
Now that we all understand what Webster has to say about accepting, I hope we can all get to the place where we can all understand what it means to put that in to place in your life – not only toward others, but yourself. Your talents, your likes, your dislikes, your self-love.
Hey! I’m Joy and I’m a mom, a wife, a sister, a friend, a daughter, a coworker, an acquaintance, an employee, a small business owner, an artist, and the list continues.
My hope for this site, if anything, is that it can be used to touch one person to learn to accept not only themselves, but others. All most of us want in life is to feel loved and that we belong. For some of us, that’s not an easy task.
I will also share our (the boys and my) art work. We do resin art, acrylic art, geode resin art, organic soap (yes, it’s an art form!) and more. It took me a long time to call myself an “artist,” most of the time, I still won’t. But if you do art, you’re an artist, even the perfectly imperfect art the boys and I do. Check out the gallery section for more of that!
